Which Aircraft And Airline Do You Feel Safest On?

I have been on over 160 flights in my live, and I have never felt safer flying than on a Qantas 747-400. In fact, it is known that Qantas is one of the safest airlines in the world! They have never lost a life in their extremely long existence. I feel very confident flying in a 737,747 and flying on Qantas and United. How about you? What do you think???

I do on the 1011 and the 777 for that matter a widebody. I guess I have the Texas mentality that bigger is better and I feel safer in a bigger plane or car which I know isnt the case.

I will say that KLM 744. I have flown in this aircraft 6 times and I feel very safety.

I'm very confident that any BA, LH, KLM or any of US major airlines' aircraft is safe for flying. Especially aircrafts on long haul, but I don't have any problems even on short routes. Even on DL shuttle 727s I used to feel very safe.

I guess statisticly a Southwest 737 would be about the safest combo, but I will have to go with a LH 747-400.
I also feel very safe on a 757 because there are about a 1000 in service and only had 3 or 4 crashes..none the fault of the aircraft.

I would have to say UAL 777. I also feel pretty safe on a 737, especially the newer ones. Once in a while, during takeoff or landing I think about those rudder incidents and how they happened (I read accident reports as a hobby) but then right after that I think of how many 737's there are flying passengers around as I speak. Statistically, it is still a very safe plane and that makes me feel better whenever I am in one.

BA definitely or any UK airline. BA has never had a major crash in the last 10 or 15 years apart from the incident in heathrow in the 70's
Would fly on any major UK,US ,European or asian airline.

The aircraft i feel safest on are a330's A340'S and 777's mainly because they are modern but also because they have never crashed since they have been in service

would never fly on any commuter or turboprops though. too small and lightweight. the bigger the better!!!!

I would have to say a NWA 757 or a NWA 727. The 757 would have to win though.

Well anyone taht says one airline is safer than another , taht is basically a bunch of Bull. But anyways, i feel most comfortable on one of the Club's (the club which the name will remain disclosed) Schweizer's. Nothing like one of those gliders. So safe the FAA lets 14 year old's fly them.

I like the UA 777's and 744's. Every time I step onto an old plane like a 742 or 741, I get a little nervous. I can't help thinking about TWA 800 (RIP) and the faulty electric lines that led to the explosion.

I feel safe on any major airline's 744, 777, A340, A330, A319, A320, A321 and 737NG(excluding Korean Air and China Airlines, which I've never taken, and I doubt I'll ever take them)

I have this eerie feeling on 747 Classics and I'll NEVER ever take them.

I still feel safe on Singapore Airlines, somehow, but the accidents they and Silk Air had involved spanking new aircraft which were just 3 years old or younger. And since I'm based in Singapore, chances are I'll be taking them most often.

On a transcontinental flight, I would rather be on a 744 than a 777 since I think the former is more stable

I always feel safe on Northwest's 722's.. I also felt quite safe on Delta's L1011.

Honestly, I have never felt unsafe on an aircraft. Maybe it's just that I have been lucky but I cannot see that I ever would be worried about a flight.

Anything flown by Continental or British Airways both have fairly new aircraft for the routes I fly and both have excellent maintenance. It's also free.

LanChile's 767-300 ER....flown them 8 times in long haul flights and they re just amazingly trustworthy.Also the crew is the best prepared in Latin America and also the best maintenance service in L.America.

I feel safest on the aircraft and airlines that have a good safety record. I feel very safe on the airbus A330-200 and Airbus aircraft.

I feel most safe on an Air Nova Dash 8 - 100/300 and any of Air Canada's airbus aircraft. I feel the most unsafe on the F-28 aircraft, I like the look of them from the outside but inside they seem old and tired and i just get a general feeling of something going wrong when I am on one.

I feel safe on pretty much any fresh new aircraft from Airbus or Boeing on any airline with a good safety records, including mostly all airline in the US, Canada, the Middle East, and Western Europe, not to mention Japan, South Africa, India, Korea, and Oceania.

Any aircraft that has been in service a long time with a large airline reputable for safety. That would even include NWA 742's.

More simply, I either feel safe on all aircraft or I feel safe on none.

I have had just three flights in my life where I did not feel totally at ease. All three were on Props including two Fokker F27 flights and the only flight I had in a twin otter. One of the F27 flights was a genuine emergency landing following an in flight shutdown and the other two were just severe bad weather. However I'm still here so there was no need to worry afterall.

I am lucky to fly on many aircrafts and all the Boeing and Airbus aircrafts , i find them safe and comfortable to fly on . But if given one plane that i feel very safe and comfortable on has to be the Airbus A320 family . I flew on both A319 and A320 , i never felt so good before . I love the seating arrangements , not too cramp

I rarely experience a sense of misgivings, or wish I hadn't boarded an aircraft unless....
I am flying between the islands on Hawaiian. While the vintage of their aircraft are similar to those of Aloha, and, in some cases, newer, I certainly am sometimes worried about the condition the interiors are in. 8 inch gaps in the space of overwing exits, seats that crunch when you sit in them and even whole rows that rock.

Yet, age will not deter me from flying YX's older DC-9s. Case in point, it was an MD-83 that experienced an in-flight engine failure (contained) on takeoff, and not the good ol' girl of N600ME!

No offense to HA employees, but your 717s cannot be coming in too soon.

I have felt safe on just about every plane that I have ever flown on before.

Except:

CMH-CVG on a Delta 757. (It looked Really bad on the outside, and even more so on the inside.)

CLT-MCO on a US Airways A319. (The plane suffered from engine trouble on the previous flight, and it was delayed in CLT while they fixed it).

I always feel safe when I'm in a plane... more than travelling by car!!!! (even if I'm driving hahahahahaha)

... but anyway, I really feel so safe flying in a B737-700... I don't know why, but that's happens every time I fly in that kind of plane.

I always feel safe on an AA A300-605R. I have flown on it more than ten times and have never had anything close to a bad experience.

I fell safest on Middle East Airlines, theyhaven't had any accident for about40 years. I prefer their a320 and a300-600r

I feel safest on either a 737 (not a -100 or -200) or a 757. I feel least safe on a DC-10 because I lost a friend and his parents in Sioux City. And Im flying on a -10-30 in two weeks. Yikes....I'm sortof scared.

i feel safe on nearly all airlines and aircraft i go one since iwould avoid travelling with bad reputation companies..

I feel unsafe on yS-11

and even some L1011.. because the apparent condition they are in.. i was in an old ATA Tristar that did actually have probelms and we had to change the aircraft after 1 hour of flight.. i was a bit concerned.

i like and feel safe on B737-800 and MD-83... maybe becuase they are among my fav type of aircraft..

I probably feel safest on Alaska Airlines which has a nearly-unblemished safety record. And I think I feel safest on any Boeing product, but mostly the 737. I will make accomodations around any Airbus model, even if it becomes inconvenient.
