Which Country Has The Code Vr-?

Sat Jun 23, 2001 9:40 am

Hi! I see today a brand new regional jet here in Dorval whit the code vr-xxxx (i don't see the complete code). Cathay Pacific had the code vr-, and others company too. Is it the code for the Pacific region, or is it only for China or Hong-Kong?
Thanks and regards.

VR- H is for Hong Kong, but a regional jet from Hong Kong would not be in Montreal, unless Canadian bought it and didn't repaint it yet . . . .unlikely though. More likely, though, is that it comes from either Bermuda or the Cayman Islands, both obviously much closer to Montreal than Hong Kong. The codes for those small islands are VRB and VRC, respectively.

peace ~

VR-B was Bermuda, VR-C was The Cayman Islands. I think they are both now VP-xxx though. VR-H was Hong Kong until 1996, now B-(3 letters). Could it have been VP-xxx ?

PS : B+4 numbers is mainland China, B+5 numbers is Taiwan.
