Piedmont Between DAY And PHL In 1988?

Hey guys and gals...I'm trying to figure out what type of 737 I was on in the summer of 1988 with Piedmont Airlines. So, for all of you with old timetables, here are the details:

July 1988
Piedmont Airlines
Route: PHL-DAY-FNT (same plane, entire trip)
737-??

I remember the big engines, so it was either a -300 or -400. Thanks to anyone who can help!

It looks to me like it was a 737-300.

By you description it does sound like a 300. I don't recall Piedmont having any 734's. Actually, I don't recall them having that many 733's. I usually saw 732 or 722's.

It was 100% sure a 737-300 because Piedmont didn't get their first 737-401 before 15 september 1988 ! (source: www.airlinerlist.com)
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

The PHL-DAY sector was a 737-300. I flew that route twice in 1988 and remember they were -300s.

I just talked to a former Piedmont pilot who used to fly DAY-LAN and DAY-FNT. It was a 737-300 according to him. Later on USAir used F-28 equipment on that route. Now, FNT and LAN are only served from PIT with SAABS. FNT service ended today though I think.

Actually, FNT is still have jet service everyday AirTran from ATL 4x DC-9's and 717.
