What is the Nonstop Route of your Dreams?

In the Civil Aviation forum we have many debates regarding the viability of a route, whether or not a route is performing well, and so on. To have some fun, I thought I would post a question: What route is on your Christmas List? Let's put aside the economics of the airline industry for a minute and just make a wish. List your desired route and desired airline below. I look forward to reading your responses! I'll start:

JFK-MCI on jetBlue

Actually, it was added earlier this year when FI launched KEF-TPA! Aside from that, EK to KEF someday is pretty high on my list... Also, it'd be nice to see either JL or NH turn their charter flights into a scheduled service on the 787. For that matter, I'd just love to see any scheduled service from KEF to Asia.

Aside from that, some more flights to SRQ would be nice. WN from anywhere would be a good start, really miss the FL service.

Probably WLG - to anywhere long haul, most preferably the USA!! But it'll probably never happen the way the runway extension plan is going!!!

Anything long haul out of EIN would be nice. There once was an attemt for this, but it was never succesfully started. AMS is the long haul airport for the Netherlands and all other airports only got short haul, but EIN is certainly able to operate long haul flights as well.

I got two routes : HYD-YVR (non-stop) because that is my <3 city also i do not need to have a transit visa via United States or travel via HKG. and HYD-NAD

for i do not have to go through the pain of layover in HKG/SYD and Visa hassles.Dreams are Dreams and they hardly turn into reality.I feel pity that my city(HYD) is hardly connected to international destination unlike BOM/DEL that sees a good number of international flights.

Since I spend most of my time in LA now, the no.1 nonstop route of my dream is ONT to TPE on EVA Airways (BR) since they're ordering 787-10. Or, the same route on China Airlines (CI) using A350-900XWB (I'd consider switching to SkyTeam if this is the case). There are a lot of Taiwanese expats in eastern LA County/western Riverside County so I think the 787-10 and/or A350-900XWB can make this route work.

The 2nd route of my dream is SJC to TPE. I know AA tried SJC/TPE using 777-200ER and it didn't work out but now that EVA Airways has code-share with Air India, maybe SJC-TPE-India will be attractive to Indian expats in addition to the Taiwanese expats in the (southern and eastern) Bay Area.

Virgin America FLL-PHL. Although that is extremely unlikely since they ended PHL a while ago and now they have the merger with Alaska.

More realistically speaking I would like to see JetBlue finally add FLL-SXM. Right now they only serve SXM from their JFK and BOS stations and both seasonally with the A321. They ended the SJU service last year, so it would be nice to have another nonstop to the Friendly Island from South Florida, and hopefully lower airfares.

One that might actually realistic: A daytime SMF-NYC flight. JetBlue currently offers a redeye to JFK, but I don't like redeyes. I would love for United to start SMF-EWR during the day, timed to connect with their transatlantic flights. Besides giving me a nonstop option to get to New York without having to function on maybe four hours sleep the next day, it would open up a lot more one stop options to European cities that currently require double connecting or driving to SFO.

Maybe a little less likely: SMF-LHR, say on a BA 788. That would allow even more one stop itineraries to more places, and has the cool factor of being a transatlantic flight from my home airport.

Mine would definitely be LAX-BUD to connect with my family without any connections. For that matter, any non-stop with a decent J or F class from North America would be amazing. Air Canada Rouge and Air Transat are obviously lacking in the "premium" cabins, as they should be being LCCs.

There would be much demand for OMG-LOL. Someday an airline will operate a flight 666 from SIN to HEL. And sooner or later an airline will offer a US sightseeing tour flying the SUX-FAT-DIK route.

But my all-time dream route would be from Mare, New Caledonia, to Perm, Russia.

Since I live near SWF (Stewart Intl), I will wish for ANY additional nonstops. We used to have direct service to Atlanta, Cincinnati, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Dallas, West Palm Beach, Columbus, and probably several others I've forgotten. The only remaining service is to Detroit, Philadelphia, Ft Lauderdale, and Orlando.

My choices are essentially gateways to regions of scenic beauty.
DOH (QR) or HKG (CX) to LAS, SLC, PHX, DEN, SEA, PDX, ANC, SCL
DOH (QR) to KEF

Even though my home airport is DXB, non-stop fares would be unattractive so DXB-DOH-xxx on QR or DXB-HKG-xxx is an acceptable compromise.
Similar one-stops to most of those destinations via LHR on BA are an option, but based on all the negative press I keep hearing, I'm not entirely sure I would want to fly them in Y.

I know QR has "announced" some of those routes but I will only celebrate after the first flight.

How about an SWF-EIN route? That way we both get what we want. I believe there only has to be one brave airline to give it a try and they could blow everyone out. SWF is a good alternative for all of the New York airports and EIN is right in the middle of the AMS-BRU-DUS triangle, so it'd be highly competitive. Goodbye expensive AMS-JFK, here comes much cheaper EIN-SWF!

FRA - CEB (or from any other Central European airport) although CEB may not appear on any airlines´s list of considerations - despite the mess MNL will be for the foreseeable future ..

I don't know if it was every considered, but it would be nice to see a four weekly flights between DEL and SFO, and three weekly flights between BLR and SFO. It's much better to operate BLR-DEL-SFO & SFO-DEL-BLR, but it would be nice if SFO had a direct flight to BLR.

I miss CVG-SAN which I took all the time. CVG-HNL was also one of the best DL routes that I enjoyed taking, its a route that probably will never return, though.

CVG-HKT would be nice too!

ONT to HNL! A few airlines have flown the route briefly. United in the late 1970's (I think it might have been a DC-8), Hawaiian off and on a couple of times (once with an L-1011, and once with a 767, I believe), and ATA (with a 737) as part of their short-lived code-share agreement with Southwest. The Bay Area has flights to Hawaii from all their airports, but in the LA Basin, we have to go to LAX. It would be nice to once again be able to fly to Hawaii from Ontario!

DUB-JAX on EI is the route of my dreams. I've been to Jacksonville for vacation twice and consider it to be a hidden gem. If EI were to fly this route (they never will) it would be similar to the new BDL flight. JAX doesn't have European service and it's a niche market.

BIO-JFK on an AA 752 or an IB A332 is another dream of mine. Northern Spain has no TATL either.

As a child, I dreamed of flying FWA-SYD nonstop on a Pan Am 747! (FWA was my hometown airport growing up, and I still travel there to go home for the holidays and family visits.)

That was before I realized that Fort Wayne is only a regional market, so there would be no possibility of flying nonstop anywhere overseas from there. (I did not start flying commercially until I was 18, in 1993, long after I realized FWA was purely regional.)

The return of JFK-HAM on EK would be a dream come true for me.Even if LH would fly JFK-HAM would be nice.

Either FNL-LUK (my closest airport LMO doesnt have a runway to support anything overseas), tho I dont know that even the G6 has the range even if it could land at LUK.

Realistically, AUA-SIN.... Arguably the longest route possible given runway lengths etc with metal possibly capable of making it.

That said, I LOVE long non-stops out of DEN and have taken #1 and #4/5 longest from here being NRT and KEF and both were awesome flights!

Some things I'd love to see happen:

DEN-CDG on AF or DL
DEN-LHR on UA (again)
DEN-BUR on DL
DEN-BUR or DEN-LAX on AS
BUR-APA (why not?)
BUR-OAK on AS or DL
DEN-OAK on UA (again)
DEN-OAK or DEN-SFO on AS (I guess this will happen with the VX acquisition, so there's that)
LAX-BRU or SFO-BRU on SN (Or as a consolation, if SN flew IAD-BRU year-round)
More TATL from LYS and MRS besides AC Rouge

I don't think any of these will happen anytime soon except for maybe some of the AS ones or SN to SFO/LAX. But I can always dream!

I'll grant you BNE-SFO as quite likely, within the next 5/6 years. I think BNE - SEA is much more likely than PDX, although not in the next 5/6 years. All the rest are outside non stop range for anything flying or on the drawing boards so they don't fit within the OPs parameters.

I'm easy......BDL to VRO. (Yes there are BDL to PBI nonstops, but why not another option?)
BDL to STT....even if it's just Saturday only.
BDL to LHR......I'm sure someday it will happen.

MAN-BOM. SQ used to have this as a non-stop MAN-BOM-SIN till about 2002. AI keeps on talking about MAN so hopefully it will happen at some point. There is huge traffic between UK-India. LHR & BHX have got non stops to India. MAN definitely deserves to as well based on its catchment area in the northwest UK.

OMG i would love for any airline to bring back LGA - BWI. BWI is such an easier airport to navigate than DCA. Though i know the train, bus, and 3hr drive is a competitiive disadvantage, but i loved that flight. American did, then USAirways, then Southwest, and now none. Someone please bring it back. The only airline that i see bringing it back would have to be a hub airline in one of those airport. So rather Delta or Southwest.
