Maybe this is not the right forum section to ask this but I do have a question.
My mother had open heart surgery a year ago, and her doctor approved her to travel overseas.
My question is, she will be stopping over in Zurich airport to switch flights to Los Angeles.
Does Zurich airport have like those mobile mini cars within the terminal that they can take her across to her next flight?
She is improving and she can walk, but just in case, I would like to somehow find this out.
I had been to Zurich, but I know they have an underground tram that takes you across the airport under a tunnel.
But by the time we walk to the tram station, I am afraid she will have issues.
I know that in Amsterdam (Schiphol) they do have those cars around their terminal for older people to get around to their next destination.
So what will I have to do when we arrive there? Should I just ask for one of these?
I will be flying with her.

Just ask for a wheelchair at checkin, the staff a very good there.

A bit off-topic. First, I wish your mother good health.
But whenever I think of Zurich, I recall a flight from TLV-Zurich-JFK. I bought bath salts in Israel for my wife. Israeli security, which people assume is notorious, had no problem with the product in my carry on. In Zurich, on the other hand, they acted as if I had a grenade! They confiscated it, and I simply said, I hope your wife/girlfriend enjoys it because that's where I'm sure it's going after the confiscation!

Althoug I have flown from ZRh many times, I don't recall having seen those golf cart style mobiles anywhere. It might b e because at least the A pier with it's multiple security check points at that time didn't offer the possibility to drive from one point to the other. On the other hand I have seen the Careport people many times.
@DaveFly: Yes, ZRH security sometimes is a bit confused. The assumed some kind of explosive in my hand luggage once, which in reality was only a block of cheese. Contrary to your experience, I could at least keep it...

My father used this service a lot in ZRH. Make sure that you ad this in your booking (wheelchair needed). The service is for free and very well working.
