Delta VIP Select Service

Mon Feb 26, 2018 9:49 pm

I am aware that DL has VIP select service available at JFK, LGA, ATL, and LAX.

Has anyone ever used the service and can speak to quality of the service and if you think it is worth it? Can you also elaborate on the pricing details for each station and the difference of service between them?

From what I understand if you are connecting in ATL they will meet you as you get off the plane and drive you in Porsche to one of the sky clubs and then right before the flight is about to leave they will bring you down to the ramp and drive you to your next flight.

Got to use it recently at MSP as I was making a tight connection. A redcoat was waiting on the jetbridge with an iPad displaying my name. We walked down the service stairs to a beautiful Porsche and was driven directly to my next flight. They then escorted me to the a/c door, introduced me to the Cabin Services Director and stowed my carry-on for me!

I don't know what the criteria is to select passengers for the service (ie: connection window, fare class, Medallion status or some combination thereof). But it impressed me and will help continue my loyalty to DL!

This is not what OP is talking about. The service OP is talking about is a for-fee service and involves more than just the Porsche connection (do a google search). Higher level Medallions will sometimes get the Porsche connection without having purchased the service if they have a tight connection (I've gotten it twice as a Diamond Medallion).

Got to use it yesterday in ATL would say it is a great service coming in on a connection from BNA with a 3 hour layover to PLS. Agent meets you at the bording door bring you down to the waiting porsche drives you to the next terminal. From there you can leave your carryon bags in the car and you are escorted into the skyclub through a back entrance from the ramp up an elevator. You are offered the option to board first or last and your agent monitors your flight while you relax in the club. Once the plane is ready to go the bring you back down to the ramp and drive you to the plane in the porsche.

For my wife and I the VIP select service was definitely worth it. Outside being on the same plane as other folks it is essentially a private flying experience.
