Im traveling from LAX to IAD tomorrow and returning Sunday. I wonder if Id be able to see some A380s at either airport. I get to LAX at 8 pm local time and will get to IAD about 5 or 6 am local.

At LAX you will definitely see some QF A380's and perhaps some Asian A380's from CZ, KE, OZ, or other carriers. Good luck.

If you're hanging out with United Airlines at LAX at that time frame, it might be doubtful, actually.
if assumptions could fly, airliners.net would be the world's busiest airport

On the United American Alaska JetBlue side of LAX, you can walk to the international terminal via underground tunnels. Makes for a great experience in the TBIT. I also recommend checking out flightradar 24 for incoming planes, as well as the on ground planes at 8pm at LAX. As of 8:10pm EST today 5 A380's were on the ground, QF, EK, LH,AF, KE. There is also 1 BA scheduled for arrival at 7:22pm. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/airports/lax Hope this helps!
