SFO>CLT American Airlines - Legacy USAirways Birds?

Tue Jul 31, 2018 6:18 pm

Good day all,

I have travel coming up in September from SFO>CLT on AA1960, which is showing that it’s an A321 and back on AA2061 from CLT>SFO, same thing---A321.Both of which are NOT showing up as a 321B, so is it safe to say this is a legacy US Airways birds that is not retrofitted with the new cabin?

Is it even worth a 5 person 500 mile upgrade being used on the USAirways A321s

Thanks for the help.

Yes, you will pretty much be set to fly on a L-US A321. There are no AA 32Bs on SFO-CLT. Heck, I don't even think the 32B even flies into CLT regularly at all right now except for an LAX-CLT flight I saw.

The consensus on here is that the L-US A321s are more comfortable and have better recline but the L-AA A321s have AVOD and ISP. Both the 321 and 32B have WiFi and streaming. The 32Bs are currently in the process of receiving the VSAT WiFi upgrade while there are no immediate plans yet for the 321.

I'd say your choice of upgrading completely depends on whichever benefits your prefer.
