I’m looking to go to Vietnam next March/April and have found a fantastic fare with Swiss /Eidelweiss from Manchester to SGN via Zurich. This has a connection time of 1 hour 5 min.
I’ve never been thro Zurich but it does seem a very tight connection. Is it doable?

That's a miracle, considering that you had to clear passport control in ZRH and extra security before departure. If the ticket is booked as one ticket on LX and WK you should be fine- 5 years ago I made a 50 minute connection going VCE-ZRH-BOS and my luggage actually made it onto the BOS flight. It might be a little tight and you might have to move quickly in the airport but otherwise you should be fine.

ConnectAir wrote:I see, but for me personally, 50 minutes is too close for comfort. And maybe back then they only had the security interview, maybe they added additional security before being allowed to the gate like DL has at AMS? Anyway, personally, I prefer 3 hours minimum, so I can clear passport control/immigration, customs if required and extra screening. Only exception would be an airport like PTY or any Schengen-to-Schengen connection (except for France, where they still seem to have passport control even for Intraschengen flights), where you just have to change gates and 2 hours suffice.LTU932 wrote:ConnectAir wrote:50 minutes??? There wasn't any extra screening beyond a security interview on my flight. It might be tight but I have made tighter connections with a delay since then (such as my connection for AF to OK in my first trip report, where I had to do passport control and 2 security checkpoints).
