17/5/2019 QR836 DOH-BKK A333 A7-AEE This was originally due to be an A346 but sadly became a victim of QR's decision to withdraw the A346 earlier than planned.

17/5/2019 TG116 BKK-CNX 773 HS-TKD. This flight can be anything out of 772/773/77W and yet again miss out on the 772... turns out it was 772 the day before and day after

03/6/2019 TG121 CNX-BKK 772 HS-TJB Again this flight can be anything out of 772/773/77w, but only rarely turns out to be a 772. Thought the chance of being a 772 was non-existent, but got lucky and logged my first ever 772, and my first RR powered 777

04/6/2019 QR837 BKK-DOH A333 A7-AEF

04/6/2019 QR27 DOH-MAN A359 A7-ALL My 5th A359 flight. Loving this aircraft compared to the cramped QR 788's were on the Manchester route.

Planning on booking another Thailand trip later in the year....

November Thailand trip now booked

16/11/2019 QR22 MAN - DOH A359
16/11/2019 QR830 DOH - BKK 77W

02/12/2019 QR833 BKK- DOH 77W
03/12/2019 QR21 DOH-MAN A359 77W

This will be my first PG A320 flight having on only flown on PG ATR72's up until now, and will also be my first TG A330 flight...

Winter flights for 2019 ~

July 2019 Qantas QF853 CBR-MEL Boeing 737-800 VH-VYH 5A Y
July 2019 Qantas QF812 MEL-CBR Boeing 737-800 VH-VZB 5A Y

Worthy mentions ~

Snow on the Australian Alps, and views of Gippsland and Bass Strait. Less worthy mentions back on the ground was the touting at MEL – once on the arrival and three times on departure. As I understand it, the touting bans have or had been temporarily lifted – annoying.

But the most interesting part of my winter flights, was the receipt of an email letter a few days after the flight apologising for a delay! – this is a first, for me at least. Of course, everyone on the flight would have received one. This was on the return journey, an early afternoon flight on a weekday. Summarised - it said, we do everything we can to make your flight enjoyable and you reach your destination on time.

It then goes on to say it would have been disappointing to experience issues on this flight. Safety is our first priority and sometimes your flight needs to change and your flight was impacted by issues outside our control. It then says that options to minimise your journey with us were limited. It ended with the inclusion of the words, inconvenience, patience and understanding.

I still have the letter and am definitely keeping it. Still don’t know the reason, pilot shortage maybe? The aircraft was available, but the crew were inbound on another flight.

Four more sector flights booked for 2019, a light year of air travel – that will be a total of ten flights for 2019.

Been so busy I haven’t really minded as much this year, which is a good thing.

Forgot to say, the delay was about one hour and fifty minutes max, but the crew walking up to the gate through the throng of pax, the atmosphere was almost palpable LOL. :highfive:
