Business cabin on Swiss CS3/A220-300

Thu Jan 10, 2019 3:39 am

I’ve just booked a flight on the Swiss CS3/A220-300 and am curious about the business cabin. According to the airline website and seat guru, the aircraft has 6 rows of business class, 30 seats, the C and E seats being blocked for extra space. When I booked however, the seatmap consisted of only the first 2 rows of the airplane. I’m wondering do they adjust the size of the cabin according to how many people are booked? I was hoping to sit in a window in row 3 or 4 but everything after row 2 is economy class according to the map it’s showing me when I select my seat. Anyone know what’s up here?

Almost every european short haul J is that way, coach seats with the middle one open.

Cabin size is adjusted depending on average premium demand, doing so based on actual bookings would expose them to overbooking which isn't a stadard practice in european short haul..
