I haven't, but what I heard they are cheapish and offer likewise okay service in Y.
It's not bad, it's just not good either. Service intra Europe is B.O.B, but even that isn't that weird in mainline carriers anymore.

Very few recent trip reports I can find sadly enough,

I recently flew on UX for the sole reason of trying them out. I flew BCN-MAD-AMS on the 332 and 738.

Upon boarding the 330 in BCN, I was shocked. The cabin condition was horrific. The ship was ECJQQ, of course I don't know if it's a fleet wide problem but it was incredible. The legroom is very restricted, to a point where I was happy to leave after two hours on board. There's a giant entertainment box under every window seat. The entertainment screens themselves were so old, that you couldn't even see anything on the screen anymore. The remote control was also completely worn down and filthy. The armrests were incredibly high and made my shoulders hurt when using them. Even with the seat next to me empty I could hardly sit comfortable. The cabin was very poorly maintained.

The crew seemed friendly enough upon boarding, but then announced there would be no service "because of turbulence" and they all disappeared into the aft galley. When we eventually encountered (light) turbulence and the seatbelt sign went on, everyone just kept walking and the crew was nowhere to be found. There's no way in hell that I will ever cross the Atlantic in an Air Europa 330 after this flight.

The MAD-AMS flight was somewhat better. At least a brand new 738 with the sky interior. However I noticed black hand and fingerprints on a lot of surfaces throughout the cabin. Legroom was again very bad but comparable to European LCC standards. Again even with an empty middle seat it was almost impossible to sit comfortably. The crew on this flight was again friendly enough, but I found BoB prices very high.

The first flight really reminded me of what Iberia used to be like, about 10 years ago. Also they seem to not really project a brand image or anything. They seem very generic and you almost forget who you just flew on as soon as you leave the plane!

My two (euro)cents,

Martijn

Have flown on their 787 MAD-TFN so not actually long haul but can tell you the cabin is decent, good seat, good IFE as it should be in a new aircraft. Much different to the A330 BCN-MAD I also took.

Have heard good & bad about UX. If you’re travelling long haul for sure try to get on the 787’s otherwise it could be a painful journey as reported above.

I flew with them on some occasions LIS-MAD-LIM between 2012-2016, and don´t have nothing that bad to point out, in fact, if I have to say anything is that they are the cheapest on this route, at least all the times I looked they were.

At the time I flew always on the A332 and they were not the newest planes in the sky but...they were pretty ok.

I give them a positive grade!! Yes they are still my choice today, on this route.
