Hnl iah is a quicker 6 hr flight. You do not get ua club access in domestic F in hnl/ iah unless you have a membership or pass or pay the $59 entrance fee.

There is full dinner service with ice cream and chocolate sauce (modified sundae service). I think what is offered chicken or fish (salmon). And a morning service before landing that I have slept through.

There are no amenity kits offered, so it is bring your own eye shades, ear plugs and slippers and toothbrush.

Only thing I can add to what has already been posted is the seats up front have AVOD.

Enjoy your trip...

The HNL-IAH flight is actually around 7+30 with a good tailwind.

OP if you're in first class you'll find the silly forward and rear facing seats on that old domestic dog of sUA, but you will as others noted find the lie flat seats. Enjoy

Why do they do the forward and rear facing seats?

United was a very confused airline.

Who know, but I will certainly look elsewhere before taking that thing to HNL.

Is AA a better product?

Have flown AA on 3 hour flights a few times in the last 18 months and found them to be real good. Service has been excellent and fares pretty competitive if not better in the markets I've flown them compared to DL and UA. But from IAH you are probably going to connect if not going to CLT, MIA, LAX, ORD, DFW, PHX or PHL.
