AA.com “Our system is having trouble”

Sat Feb 16, 2019 12:47 am

I have seen this twice now on aa.com a month apart and first saw it in December when the booking engine crashed on me. I didn’t take a screen shot (I actually don’t know how on this device) but when I did an online search of this phrase with aa.com, a link to their website comes up showing a large closeup of the flag tail of an AA jet where you can even see the tail cone exhaust. Perhaps someone can take a screenshot in case AA finally removes it, it’s about the dumbest thing since UA sent thank you letters to the wives who participated in the Wives Fly Free promotion targeted the full fare paying businessman in the 1980s (before you had to show photo id ;) )

The link worked to an error page, but as of r5:45 PM Pacific Time in San Diego, the website is working just fine.

It makes it look like they're showing a closeup of the plane's "genitals"

Similar to when I tried to call AA in late December about flights I booked and paid for showing as "Pending" or something similar in the app. I called them and got a message that they were too busy and to call again. Took forever to get to where I could get a callback option.

I think you missed the point, just like the AA developer who created the error message.
