Sunwing Airlines operated a few flights in/out of Dakar, Senegal for some kind of charter last month. The idea of a Canadian leisure airline that normally shuttles tourists to/from the Caribbean in such a foreign place as Senegal certainly would have been a sight.
If you flew today, thank a Flight Dispatcher!

Didn't saw it personally, but a friend of mine who work at GMF post a pic on Instagram of AM 738 and several Laudamotion 320 (ex. GA and QG) at CGK before their delivery flight. Quite interesting i must say

Pan Am 732 at JFK. Far as I know they were mostly used on the Internal German Service and it was a nice surprise to see one in lieu of all the 727s and 747s the airline had at the time. Only time I ever saw one in person.

That Swiss 777 which landed in the far Canadian Arctic north in the middle of winter a couple of years back must have been quite interesting

For a while Aerolineas Argentinas based various narrowbody types at MAD to offer onward connections to LGW and (IIRC) CDG... although it may have been Paris. Quite odd to see these smaller types so far from home. I recall seeing one of their MDs - I think an MD88 in MAH years ago, which was very unusual. A few years later I then flew an Aerolineas Argentinas B737-500 from MAD-LGW, although it appeared to have been actually operated by Air Plus Comet.

There's a news picture from somewhere of an TG aircraft (A330?) in HNL because it was chartered by the Thai Government for some meeting there.

In 1984 a BA Concorde landed in Ramat David AFB as a charter for a British cruise company. This was a spectacular sight.
A few years ago Ayit Aviation from Beer Sheva bought one of Air Seychels' Shorts 360 and operated for some time it in the former operaters color scheme in Israel

2 years ago I was sat in a cafe in Zurich drinking a coffee very slowly to watch the planes go by and a Delta Connection Embraer taxied by presumably on a ferry flight somewhere, which remains me to look the picture up and see where it ended up.

Like the AC A319s at LHR, the first time I saw a Mongolian Airlines 737 at Berlin, I was like what the hell is that doing here only to discover later it was a proper scheduled service.

During my time as an active planespotter in Frankfurt I saw some really unusual sightings:

Air Polynesie F27 - no clue why she came to FRA, I guess she had been sold to another operator.

Alyemda B737-200 - delivery flight

Indian Airlines B737-200 - delivery flight

Evergreen B727-100 - brought journalists for a Clinton visit

Connie Kalitta DC 9-15 N9353, came from Detroit via YQX and KEF to bring some urgent parts for the General Motors factory near Frankfurt

Maybe it will become quite common to see a N-registered 737 in Europe but at that time it was very rare to see a B727 or even a DC 9 from the other side of the pond...

Many thanks, my friend! Cheers! :highfive:
I wonder when people will understand:
Embraer 190 or simply E190, not ERJ-190. E-Jets are NOT ERJs!
Boeing 747-8, not Boeing 747-800. Same goes for 787.
Airbus A320, not Airbus 320.
Airbii does not exist.

Although not unusual to see Delta at Manchester, UK. I do have a photo somewhere of a Delta A319 parked up at EGCC, a few years ago, which was an unusual sight. Something to do with an NBA team playing in the UK if I remember correctly.

When I worked at ORD back in the mid-80's saw an Air Madagascar 747 lined up on 27L one day - why it was in ORD I never found out.
Saw a VN 777 at SEA a few years ago when some dignitaries were in Seattle.
And twice saw Concorde on final approach to BFI - to be fair, the second time was when G-BOAG was headed to the Museum of Flight for permanent display

To those who mentioned HA at MSP and TPA, those were almost certainly the Seattle Seahawks' charters

Beyond GA and commercial regional airline services from AA and UA, COU does experience some occasional charters for college sports; in recent seasons, Mizzou utilizes SY B738s (prior to 2017, Miami Air International B738s) and visiting charters use either DL B752s, G4 A320s, and/or AA A321s for College Football; for College Basketball, many charters utilize an off-brand airline charter, most notably Mizzou utilizing Swift Air B734s for away games. For postseason games in recent seasons, I managed to spot a WN B737 landing the day after the Texas Bowl game in the 2017 post-season and a Mad Dog DL MD88 arriving after Mizzou Men's Basketball team's loss in the 2018 post-season NCAA tournament, both in which are a rarity for travelers flying in and out of COU.

Some most notables:

Like other Eastern Canadian airports, YHZ sees it's share of interesting diversions.. A United 777-200 was there yesterday, probably doing a tech stop after taking a round-about route out of DEL and avoiding Pakistani airspace.
