Hi everyone,

We know that a "Virtual Airline" is an airline that has outsourced as many operational and business function as possible. But in reality can you guys list some existing Virtual Airlines and also list what services are outsourced?

The only existing exemple I know that could come closer to the definition of a "Virtual Airline" is "Level" (French one) operating with Open Skies AOC / Cabin crew / Cockpit crew. But this is the only exemple that I know.

Thanks for your feedback.

Wingo is a low-cost virtual airline from Copa Airlines and Copa Airlines Colombia. Wingo has no AOC, crew or aircraft.

It's worth reading up on Manx2 which morphed into Citywing. Both were running marginal routes, predominantly to and from the Isle of Man, and both closed down for safety oversights by the operating carriers.

NH's Air Japan and ANA Wings come to mind.
