Who flies what into Singapore

Wed Apr 10, 2019 9:09 am

Was looking thru a couple of the flight tracking websites and realized that the traffic into Singapore is clustered into a bunch of aircraft types.

This being mainly the 737, 787, 320, 330, 350, 380.

Only Korean Air and possibly Thai Airways bring in a 747 on one of their services. That apart sadly don’t see any passenger 747’s coming into SIN anymore, unlike SQ's heyday's when they ran a sizable 747 fleet themselves.

Doubt anyone flies the Airbus A340 into Singapore & there’s the odd 767 that comes in as well. No 757 into Singapore skies for a while as well ?

Turbo-prop traffic would be only the ATR-72-600.

Anyone knows of any other interesting aircraft types that head into Singapore ?

Hi - there is no mention in your list of the 777 of which SQ flies I think four variants, so I am guessing they are not that rare.

Two of their variants however are the non ER versions of the 777-200 and 77-300, of which according to wikipedia there are only 60 and 40 respectively in the world, so they might count as interesting types to see. In fact the only 777-300 [ER or not] that I have ever flown on is an SQ 777-300[non-ER].

Air Mauritius occasionally operates an A343.

No more turboprops into Changi.
They are relocated to Seletar.
Of course the current suspension - to resume on April 21 - of Firefly's ATR flights is another (complicated) story.

TG no longer brings their 744s into SIN, unless it is an equipment substitution for the 773/A359 that they fly on the route.

For other airlines:
PR(and 5J): A333/A321
VN: A321
GA: 738 and occasional 77W
MH: 738

Sorry, that was a big blunder on my end. The 777 of course.

I believe GA is flying some sort of CRJ (CRJ-1000?) from SIN to Belitung Island, though I have not spotted it yet.

There's also the odd 737 classic (I think mostly -400) from some of the smaller, dodgy Indonesian cargo airlines.

GA only has one type of CRJ (CRJ-1000). And yes, SIN-TJQ is indeed 4/wk CRJ-1000.

All the other GA flights into SIN are 738, though (Including CGK-SIN).

All of SQ’s 772s are ER’s just some are derated and generally used on shorter flights up to 8hrs.

GA also flies the A333 to CGK and occasionally to DPS. The 77W used to stop at SIN on its way to LHR (and AMS?).
