UA SFO-PPT Route Performance?

Sun May 12, 2019 4:10 am

How is UA´s SFO-PPT route doing? Is it profitable or will UA cut this route?

It was announced seasonal and already extended to year round. I’m sure it’s doing just fine. The fact that it’s not daily helps a lot.

Odd question as there are no partners on the PPT end for connections, the SFO end is a major UA hub, and there are no other *A options to get to PPT from anywhere else.

Not a connection, but a continuing destination, NZ does fly PPT-AKL. I can't imagine anyone routing via PPT just to connect, unless they are on TN.

Do they? I only see a codeshare flight on TN metal.

Its definitely one of their more interesting/ambitious routes. Im glad its working for them.

Id go out on a limb and say it's more for west coasters to have another option for vacation, not Joe Schmo with his family, but Joe Millionaire and his trophy wife.
When wasn't America great?

I believe TN is transitioning to all B787-9s from the A343s. PPT-LAX-CDG-LAX-PPT is now B787-9.
