Double bogey a320

Mon Jun 10, 2019 1:11 am

Any idea if any double bogey a320s are operating anywhere besides India, I believe even there they have been phased out to most of an extent

They aren't operating anywhere else. I'd be surprised if there are any left flying period.

Intriguing , is the second hand market a no go due to extra weight or just their age I have to wonder

They were only ordered by Indian airlines because of India's low PCN at the time, so it would be surprising to see them needed now.

I believe they were ordered by IC due to the state of Indian runways at the time. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with increased weight but i'm fairly sure it was to do with the runway conditions.

Then the merger with AI happened and they became the red headed step child.

This is from my memory so correct me someone if i'm wrong lol

Huh, I thought there was a thread about AI retiring the last of them. Maybe that changed after the demise of Jet and the max grounding?
