New nonstop flight for LATAM?

Wed Aug 28, 2019 9:09 pm

What is the newest route for LATAM? Will we see them flying GRU to Chicago, GRU to Houston, or even Montana to Madagascar with their new A350?

Sao Paulo to Austin and SJC, Miami to Belo Horizonte and Recife were noted on the AA/LATAM JV... not saying they'll actually fly there, of course.

LATAM will only fly to major cities where there ARE SIGNIFICANT South Americans. In October they are launching SCL - SYD non-stop 3x weekly (other 4x weekly goes via AKL like currently) to connect with the Qantas network in Asia. The only problem is LATAM Chile's J class on the South Pacific crossing is still 2-2-2. LATAM Brasil's A350 is NOW on GRU - JNB allowing fast connecting onto CX to HKG via JNB (South Atlantic crossing). Passengers can also connect via the usual European destinations and of course the USA. LATAM currently serves the following destinations:
Europe: LHR, CDG, FRA, MAD, LIS, MXP, TLV, FCO (ending soon)
North America: LAX, MIA, MCO, JFK
Oceania: SYD, AKL
South Africa: JNB

I forgot LATAM also serves MEL in Australia. There have been GROWING amounts of South American students studying in Australia/New Zealand, Europe & Canada as the schools are more subsidized by the state therefore cheaper.

My bets are on FNJ and DTW. With Kabul as the dark horse.
When wasn't America great?
