Traveling to Norman’s Cay, Bahamas

Mon Sep 09, 2019 7:13 pm

Hi all,

I’m exploring the option of traveling to the Bahamas for a few days in February 2020. It would be a side-trip while I’m in the neighborhood anyway and am looking at 2 full days there. I’m thinking of going to Nassau and starting my tours/excursions from there, although I’m flexible when it comes to a starting point.

One of the things I’d love to do is a (day)trip to Norman’s Cay, to the C-46 wreck in particular. I’ve been searching the web for a few days now and have come to realize that traveling there is quite an undertaking. No special tours or anything, so I’m thinking I would either need to rent a boat or aircraft to get out there. Has anyone on this board undertaken the same trip? Any recommendations in terms of transportation to get there?

I’ve also seen another nice day tour that had my interest, which goes to Staniel Cay, the swimming pigs and some other places. However I’m open to any other recommendations.
