Hi folks ,

i was wondering which Special meal ( Transatlantic Europe - EWR) is the best ? Is it worth ordering a veggie meal or do they have veggie meals as a choice anyway ?

Any info ?

I could not attach these links, so go to,
1. Click on Travel Information
2. Click On Board Services
3. Link to Dining
4. Link to Special Meals which describe the meals as how they're prepared and these same links explain how to pre-order your meal.

Vegetarian meals must be ordered in advance.

Ive ordered veggie meals before and they seem to usually be pretty bad. If UA is like DL, im sure they offer a vegetarian pasta or something similiar normally as an option with the normal service.

Is the title supposed to be "Special MEALS On United Airlines"?

I would imagine class of service has a lot to do with it. Even premium economy might be more special than "base fares".

United usually has a vegetarian option along with their meat option in both classes. When I flew IAH-NRT in Y, they ran out of chicken and I had udon noodles. Similar on my MUC-IAD in Polaris, I had the tortellini/ravioli because they ran out of the protein options.

If they are offering aveg Hindu meal, go for that, my experience is no matter the airline, it's always the best veg option.

I really wish people would include class of service in the opening posts. It really helps inform our answers,
