Answering my own question:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airports_by_IATA_code:_Q
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airports_by_IATA_code:_X

But, there's nothing easy to fly to or likely reasons to go to in Q, lots of secondary airports. Same for X, but at least the list is longer and has some destinations like Xian that are bigger cities, and where my airline flies to. But, there's nothing in Finland for instance for Q or X, and no obvious reason for me to ever go to any of the places. But, who knows.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of ... TA_code:_A

There aren’t a lot of airports in the world beginning with the letter Q and even fewer with scheduled air service. However, in Canada where we’re famous for our Y airports has one Q airport with airline service, namely QBC/Bella Coola, BC which is served by Pacific Coastal.

There are far more X airports globally. There’s also a few of these in Canada with scheduled air service, but they’re all tiny, and the ones with sked svc are very remote, such as XGR/Kangiqsualujjuaq (George River), Quebec.

Wikipedia has a list:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_a ... TA_code:_Q

Q is quite difficult as there's few civilian airports, I think you'd have to actively be trying to complete this challenge to do it. QRO I think is most reasonable for a North American. I'm Australian so fat lot of good it does me.

X is easier - Xian and Xiamen being major cities with international flights, plus a few in Europe and North America. Thargomindah (XTG) is actuallly right down the road for me, I didn't recall its IATA code so listed XIY instead.

If you flew into an airport where it's code at the time was, IST but is now ISL (or was BKK but it's now DMK) would you update your log or would you leave it unedited as it was?

Personally I updated given its flying to the specific airports. Both examples you give above are good examples. You flew to the airport that is now DMK, BKK is a different airport. ISL is now a cargo airport, so you flew to Ataturk in your life, but IST is now the new international airport you may still need to visit.

DROP WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING RIGHT NOW and get out your List of Airports Airstud Has Landed At - not only are we adding "HVN" but we are also celebrating yes THROWING A CELEBRATION at the arrival of an "H" airport on my List!!!!!!!

This is the first time I've gotten to add a letter since I first founded this topic, now more than ten years ago!!!!

It was a jolly nice little flight from MSP to PHL, too; plus I got to use the Admirals Club lounge in Philly. A safe 30 minutes in the air on AA4411 later, here I am in New Haven!!!

btw what the heck am I doing being in New Haven...
Pancakes are delicious.

Like eurotrader85 says, I would also update to the new IATA code as that is the airport it represents now.

If you flew into an airport where it's code at the time was, IST but is now ISL (or was BKK but it's now DMK) would you update your log or would you leave it unedited as it was?

Like eurotrader85 says, I would also update to the new IATA code as that is the airport it represents now.
