University Thesis Survey

Wed Jan 08, 2020 7:57 pm

Hey everyone!

I am doing my final year at university and I have to write a thesis. The topic I am writing about is The Influence of Country-Of-Origin Effect, Certified Quality Rating, and Pricing on Consumer Decision Making in the Airline Industry. For this thesis, I am conducting a small research done via survey and I would like to ask the a.net community members if you would like to participate.

The survey takes no more than 5 minutes. If you would like take the survey, the link is https://forms.gle/NHdKgbMmxRhpPg326.

Thanks a lot guys!

I agree.
As soon as skytrax was mentioned, I closed the window and opted out of the survey.
Just because I stopped arguing, doesn't mean I think you are right. It just means I gave up!

That's something I can agree on, Skytrax is completely irrelevant. If anything, they're misleading. The airline which pays the highest bribe gets the highest rating, that's all it really means. It says nothing about quality.

I agree with you and I'm the one doing the research! But I needed something to act as a proxy for the 'Rating' side of it and Skytax was chosen as the proxy. I already know that the data will show that the grand majority of people will go for 'No influence', which is still a completely valid answer, and may actually help build an argument for one of the hypothesis.

For the rest that have completed the survey - Thanks a lot! - You're really helping me out with the thesis and getting my university degree. Can't thank you enough for that.

I begaמ the survey but didn’t complete it. I got stuck on definitions...

If I fly LAX-YVR-NRT-LAX, how many international flights is that? One or three?

LAX-YVR-NRT-LAX counts as 3 segments, so 3 flights for the purpose of the survey. I couldn't use the word 'segment', which I would have preferred, because during the tests the majority of people actually got confused and didn't know what it meant.

I filled out the survey, thinking "flight" means trip, not a segment.
Is there any way to correct it?

I see... Unfortunately, it’s confusing...

Think about it this way....

LAX-SFO-NRT is one international flight.

LAX-YVR-NRT is two international flights.

LAX-NRT-KIX is one international flight.

What about SQ’s LAX-NRT-SIN? How many is that?!
