US3 carrier longest flights

Sun Jan 12, 2020 8:17 pm

Is IAH-SYD UA's longest flight? Then followed by SFO-SIN? 3rd is probably EWR-HKG. I heard ATL-JNB is DL's longest flight. 2nd being JFK-BOM. I heard AA's is DFW-HKG.

it's neat how DL ATL-JNB and UA SFO-SIN are the exact same 8433mi. of course the JNB departure is more technically challenging.

That's what I was thinking :D Or that UA departs and arrives at different runways that are further apart

Hahaha.

It is interesting to see that UA’s list are all over 7400 mi.

I see the longest routes are to former British colonies that speak mostly English as a 1st or 2nd language (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, South Africa) attracting high end J and Y for business or pleasure.

Well... they’re also the longest flights because those countries are some of the furthest from the U.S.

Which make them the perfect routes to profitably fly that far. Will be fun to see what other ULH routes develop.

ORD-HKG would be right after CPT-EWR at 7794 should it be reinstated - one can hope. :crossfingers:
