Unfortunately I never got to fly the 742 or 743 - despite having numerous tickets and trips booked to try. Later this month I should fly the 747-400ER too with Qantas.

B747-SP
- Syrian Arab Airways

B747-100
- Iran air

B747-400 / 400M
- Air India
- British Airways
- EVA Air
- KLM
- Korean Air
- Kuwait Airways
- Lufthansa
- Oasis Hong Kong Airlines
- Virgin Atlantic

B747-8:
- Lufthansa

Just Northwest Airlines on DTW-NRT/NRT-DTW starting in 2005 (I was in first grade back then).

At least Northwest Orient, Northwest Airlines, United, ANA, JAL, British Airways, TWA, Continental, Air China (747-8) and PeoplExpress.

I believe there's more but I would have been very young and don't remember.

A couple were pretty interesting planes, like the Air China 748 and the converted 747-400D that was being used for long-haul on ANA. I'm also old enough that a few of the early 747's I flew on still had lounges.
I'm tired of being a wanna-be league bowler. I wanna be a league bowler!

American Airlines (early 1970's with the piano!), Northwest Orient (~1989), and then a long dry spell before boarding British Airways in 2007/2008 for a lot of SEA-LHR-DEL flights.

Only three airlines. Pathetic.

Almost the same list as mine:
BA: 741 or 742*)
LH: 744
TG: 744**)
CA: 748

------------------------------------
*) Can anyone help me? I cannot remember if it was a -100 or a -200. The flight was on September 1, 1997, the day after Princess Diana had died, from LGW to Barbados. I remember that I noticed the wooden overhead bins, kind of pressed wood, with nets in the middle. Was this a feature of BA’s -100’s only or did the -200’s still have these rather old-fashioned overhead bins?

**) from MUC to BGK with the Prince on board. He had blocked the entire first class which was bad luck for me since I wanted to use my e-voucher for an upgrade from business to first class. Although, we had a nice salute when the Jumbo rolled to the gate in BGK

I wish I could get the registrations down. In 2017 I had the oppertunity to fly from SEA-FRA on a 748, (In a First Class seat with Business Class soft product and fare), connect to FRA-IKA in a 744 on the upper deck, and then later on fly from IKA to Mashhad in a 747-300. Sadly the 748 got swapped to a 744, and the 743 got put into maintenance.

All I have flown are the BA 744s and the LH 744s. Every memory of the 747 I have is a great and unique one.I am going to be heartbroken when they go. No other airplane provides even a similar atmosphere to the 747. It's like travelling in a flying ocean liner.
