If I Was CEO OF Alaska Airlines

Sun Feb 09, 2020 8:50 pm

If I was CEO of Alaska Airlines "With Profit$ I would pay off the AirCraft so that they are now owned by Alaska Airlines . A paid - off AirCraft generates the most Profit$$$$$$$"
Why endure the nightmare and congestion of LAX when BUR, LGB, ONT & SNA is so much easier to fly in and out of. Same with OAK & SJC when it comes to SFO.

Plus when purchasing brand new aircraft: It will already been paid for upon delivery. Once again, an already payed for aircraft makes higher Profit$$$$$$$

But it would decrease the ability of the airline to add more aircraft quickly.

And then someone can swoop in, take the company private and sell the assets to leasing companies. Pocket the cash for yourself (or buy Texaco with it). See Carl Icahn and TWA.
This plane is built to withstand anything... except a bad pilot.

Not necessarily. There are major advantages to sale-leasebacks.

No rush to fill the skies with more 737's. Grow slowly.

Put that row of First Class you took out BACK IN, and please expand Eco+ by another row or two. Get rid of that 'Proudly All Boeing' sticker until it truly is, or just buy the aircraft best fit for your ops.

s-post here:
If I was CEO of Alaska Airlines, I would buy 1000 737 MAX, 500 NMA, 100 787-9, and 50 777X
Fully lie-flat beds on all planes, comparable to Mint on MAX, Singapore on WBs
Fly 737 MAX on domestic trunk routes
NMA on long & thin routes ex (SEA-CTS, EWR-SVO, MIA-SAL)
Hubs: EWR/JFK, LAX, DEN, MIA, IAH, SFO, ORD)
787-9 on long haul routes ex (SYD-LAX, EWR-KUL, DEN-DEL)
777X on high-density routes ex (EWR-LAX, ORD-SFO, EWR-LHR, EWR-TLV)
