3.5 hour connect - GIG to SDU

Fri Feb 14, 2020 4:05 am

Flying into GIG on DL60 - scheduled arrival 9:30AM. Have to clear immigration then flying out on LATAM 3709 that departs SDU at 1:05PM.

So I have a Brazilian friend who says it should not be an issue as immigration is not as long of queues as some US airports, but with a potential 30-40 minute taxi/Uber ride I feel like I am going to be cutting it close. Because DL and LATAM are not interconnected yet I had to book the flights separately on different itineraries.

Should I have any concerns or is this a doable connection?

What about flying GOL from GIG to CGH? If you have to fly LATAM - why are you not flying to GIG-GRU instead?!

The local (flat rate) driver services recommend around 3hrs between flights. The drive between the airports is about 1hr.
