GTF acceptance on WB market

Sun Mar 22, 2020 9:44 am

As I've read a thread, where somebody asks about whether PW can get into 787 or A350, it made think of the application of GTF. Obviously they managed to acquire acceptance within the NB market such as A320neo and A321, but what about WB markets? The only update they gave to the public on widebody GTF is that they're developing an upscaled version on A350, possibly for the neo version and their interest in the NMA project, and how likely it is the market will accept their offering, given their historical track records that hasn't been so stellar such as PW4098, and the recent case like Indigo.

All opinions are welcomed.
