Travel advice

Sun Mar 22, 2020 8:12 pm

I curiously looked up fares on WN's website for LAS-LAX and they are really low (no shocker there) but I was a bit concerned with how safe it was compared to driving. I'm with my girlfriend and we'd obviously take snack/bathroom breaks (so you're near a lot of people anyways, versus an airport) and I was wondering what would be safer since the round trip fare for two people is really cheap and within budget but obviously there are second thoughts given the current situation.

So I was wondering what would be safer overall, driving to socal or flying there. I reckon the airports/aircraft wouldn't be very full anyways. Thanks for any input!

What are you going to do when you get there?
I can drive faster than you

I'm not sure you'll follow any travel advice since you're obviously not considering federal guidelines to not travel. You appear to be more motivated by a low fare than the need for "essential travel." Are you and your girlfriend not aware that almost 40% of all positive COVID-19 patients are under the age of 52? By traveling you're exposing yourselves and potentially passing it along to others near you, including your own family. Are you aware of the restrictions everyday Californians are experiencing under direction of Governor Newsome including a lockdown of the entire city of SFO?
Be responsible. Stay in your home in LAS and plan a trip in about 4-5 months if we're all lucky.

I agree, now is not the time to travel. Not by plane and not by car either. Just stay home. That trip will come some other time.

Besides, if the destination is Los Angeles, keep in mind that California is locked down. You can't go anywhere, everything is closed.
