When did TWA introduce its dual red stripe livery?

Fri Mar 27, 2020 6:51 pm

Hello all...

I am trying to pinpoint what year TWA introduced their dual red stripe (1970s-mid 1990s) livery.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

It's around 1975.

This special Skyliner issue from March, 1975 talks about the changes.

N53111 was the first painted. Note the sharp corners on the red tail logo which was quickly changed.
This plane is built to withstand anything... except a bad pilot.
