Douglas/McDD rollouts, why Bagpipes?

Can anyone here that knows about McDD stuff explains why these (at least) Douglas/McDD rollouts have bagpipe songs on them?
I'm pretty sure the founder (Donald Douglas) isn't a Scot either. Some historical reason?

Yes, the first vid even states the pipes were in Honour of Donald Douglas. He was American of Scottish descent.
