Questions about upcoming travel and restrictions on United

Sun Apr 26, 2020 9:04 am

This might be somewhat off topic, if so, is there a thread here to get more clarity, or suggestions of where to obtain information- I would greatly appreciate it. (I miss flying as much as anything else!)

I am starting to consider my return to flying. To date I am a FULL 42 days in COMPLETE isolation in my apartment in NYC.

In mid May and end of May and June (if still possible) I am planning on visiting family and friends. Today I can make advance reservations and purchase tickets: EWR to MIA, LAX, SFO, LHR, GRU and FRA. Each trip would be a 4-5 day stay and return. I would follow local guidelines to the letter.

I am frightened of contacting COVID-19 “today”, but less so later, because even if infection rates are dropping rapidly everywhere, and I exercise great caution, still it’s only a matter of “when”, not if. My Dr said should I contract this, it’s EXTREMELY unlikely, I would die, but I would need to be diligent about not infecting others.

With the modest increases in service I’m reading here planned, are UA reservations up? Where can I find out more? I will be flying UNITED, but I see nothing on their website that covers state and country laws. THANKS, be safe! ❤️

Your post is unrelated to the United Fleet/Network Thread, so I have split your post into a new topic in the Travel Forum.

You can find the latest information on travel restrictions by visiting www.hub.united.com once there on the home screen click on the COVID-19: What we are doing to keep employees and customers safe. Scroll down and click on the travel notices page, once on this page you can either click on the link COVID-19 country specific information or keep scrolling down to get the latest information about certain states that have mandatory 14 day quarantine requirements for people arriving from certain regions.
