As a kid I lived near LGA and we would go in the AA hangers and they would let us go on the planes even the cockpit and we were always told never touch anything. So I was on DC-3, CV-240, DC-6, L-188 Electra. Security in those days was little or none at all, But never got to fly on any.
I remember; I climbed into a C152 once when no other airplanes were available for training (I've only done C172s for training and the Arrow), only for the lesson to be cancelled in the end. Heh!
At museums: Delta Boeing 767-200 (Spirit of Delta) Delta (ex-NWA) Boeing 747-400 (N661US) NASA Boeing 747-100SCA First-ever 747 (N7470) United Boeing 727 USAF VC-137 Part of a FedEx Boeing 727F Front section of a Northwest 747 B-17 Cockpit Part of an American Airlines DC-7
My first time on a 787 was at the Museum of Flight. It was the third ever 787-8. However, I've late flown on 2 other 787's: a BA 788 LHR-MSY and an AA 789 N833AA DFW-MAD (Curiously, the latter was delayed due to bad weather at DFW almost on the 36th anniversary of the crash of DL191)
Airshow: Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker Lockheed C-130 Hercules
Excluding museums, Antonov An-124. It landed in Port Hedland, we stood by the fence and yelled to the pilot, he came over, opened the gate and gave us a tour.
