I suppose it can't be ruled out. AA has notably grown domestically out of CLT since the pandemic began with new routes to JAC, BZN, RNO, HNL, AEX, LFT, and most recently/somewhat surprisingly, a Saturday-only flight to FCA.

I'm not too familiar with the Spokane market - I assume there's a good amount of leisure travel relating to the surrounding areas. AA adding ORD-GEG last week could test to see if a CLT flight can eventually complement AA's growth in GEG.

Geg has a very large amount of Leisure and people moving from expensive places, we have all the outdoor activities and in winter five ski resorts so I honestly see some airlines adding some interesting flights here in the next couple months, Hawaii has a big market without any flight

Maybe in the later half of the year, some international love for DEN. Announced this year, not flown until 2022.

DEN-CDG on AF, UA or DL with no more Norwegian possible
DEN-TPE - on BR. more or less the last major UA hub to get service

SAN-BFL: if Alaska can fly SAN-SBA, SAN-SBP, and SAN-FAT (all the surrounding airports around Bakersfield!), once a day can happen somehow.

Copa Panama, SAN-PTY: Rumored pre-Covid, Now it's time!

Korean Air, SAN-ICN, when the Asia market has recovered enough.

The Lufthansa Group, Summer Schedule:
SAN-FRA x3
SAN-MUC x2
SAN-ZUR x2

Winter Schedule:
SAN-FRA x4
SAN-MUC x3

AF/KLM Group:

SAN-AMS x4
SAN-CDG x3

I'll leave the actual days of the week to the SkyTeam bean counters, but something along those lines.

What market are you foreseeing between KUL/SIN and BME?

Broome and the Kimberley have lovely beaches and truly unique world class scenery, but the sheer cost of accommodation, food, activities etc are so high that it would be a non-starter in the SE Asian market as a beach destination other than for the very wealthy ... who probably aren’t flying Scoot or Air Asia.

Is Broome designated as an international airport? There may have been some charter flights in the past, but the airline has to pick up the immigration facilities tab. I believe Port Hedland has the designation, but Australian Immigration will only agree to process about 100 pax per flight.

Frontier/Spirit: LAS-HNL: they would be eaten alive by HA and the Omni International weekly charters.
https://www.boydvacationshawaii.com/tra ... as-charter

Ryanair: NYC-Europe: inefficient use of aircraft (only 2 cycles/day) plus EWR/JFK won't do any deals for FR.
Atlantic City to anywhere is a non-starter.

SGN - LAX or SFO

I so badly want SGN - PHL because Philly has a sizeable Viet population but squeezed between two cities with viet larger populations. Though I would argue its easier to get to PHL than JFK not sure about IAD. Also arguing that using Amtrak to get to NYC or DC is pretty easy from PHL as well.

DL is very focused on their hubs, its rare for them to announce point to point routes, or that's at least what I believe.

DL is very focused on their hubs, its rare for them to announce point to point routes, or that's at least what I believe.

It's not that rare, given that they also fly Orlando - Cincinnati for example. Neither airport is a Delta hub.

Pre pandemic, they were operating, SNA, SJC, PDX, and maybe SMF or SAN to LAS, so SFO at that time would not necessarily been a surprise.

Since I'm in SoCal and only travel a few places...

SNA/ONT-OGG without stops. This is feasible as it has been done before and United has begun SNA-HNL flights. If they are successful, this could reoccur if the economics are right.

SNA/ONT-CLE only because I have family there! Someone had this route ever so briefly out of ONT in the nineties, if memory serves. There are enough transplants out here in California that it might work, if only seasonally, especially out of ONT.

SAN-OGG. Come on, airlines! Why no direct to Maui flights out of San Diego? Give Lindbergh Field some love!

Well even though I'm ORD-based, I'd love to see at least one Europe - KHI route on a European carrier.

My preferences are in this order:

BA LHR - KHI
VS LHR - KHI
LH FRA - KHI

Unlikely? Yes. Do I think they could work? Well, LH maybe since KHI has unusually high demand to IAH.

I would got think that WN would add DAL to GEG and add back DAL to BOI back since they have already done BOI and it worked and GEG probably would work too

Going with WN, DAL to/from OKC.

While WN had served OKC nonstop from DAL for almost 40 years, I probably do not expect WN to re-add DAL-OKC nonstop service anytime soon as the PDEW of DAL-OKC was only 28 passengers per day in 2019. The majority of the passengers on WN's DAL-OKC nonstop flights were connecting to destinations that have 1-stop connecting service through other cities on WN. WN also still has 1-stop connecting service to AUS, SAT, MSY, and Florida from OKC through HOU. The demand to OKC from the DFW/DAL market is also significantly lower due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Surprised the PDEW was only 28 per day as the drive from/to DFW and OKC is a good 3 hours.

Demand for DAL-OKC nonstop service had been decreasing since the 9/11 attacks almost 20 years ago. Demand for AA DFW-OKC nonstop service is also much lower than was the case prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the PDEW of DFW-OKC on AA being only 10 passengers per day in Q3 2020 compared to 72 passengers per day in Q3 2019. AA can easily cover any additional O&D demand that is there between DFW and OKC with AA still having 6 daily nonstops to DFW from OKC.

They're not hubs, but they are Delta focus cities, each with many thousands of SkyMiles customers.

Speaking of CVG, the restart of service to STL is in order on DL and/or WN.

AY
HEL-CGK
HEL-DPS
Reasonable price, great service, and (geographically) provides the shortest distance to Europe. Not to mention that HEL is, for me, the most convenient airport to transfer that I've ever visited.

DY
ARN-BKK/SGN-DPS
Lots of Swedes that I've met in Sweden are actually really wanting to visit Bali or Indonesia in general. A direct flight might be a bit too much, so I'll settle with a one stop in either BKK/SGN.

Any Indonesian or Indian airlines
CGK/DPS-BOM/DEL
Still surprised that there's no player in the non-stop market. ID-CN traffic has been booming pre-covid, mostly out of DPS (even GA have several dedicated all Y A330 for DPS-China charter flights) but CGK and MDC got a slice of the pie as well. Yet, there's no successful attempt on ID-IN flights. GA tried with a rather odd CGK-BKK-BOM route and it doesn't work at all. In addition, many Indian expats are working in lots of start-up in Jakarta as well, heck even Gojek (a motorcycle ride hauling apps and Indonesia's largest start-up) has a tech center in Bangalore. So there should be a market between Indonesia and India.
