The title says it all, I was wondering, which type of Airbus A321 are flying Transcontinental routes for American Airlines?

They are A321-231 aircraft. Not NEOs.

Their low density ones are CEOs, but they fly trans cons from their hubs with all of the 321s, neos and ceos.

Yeah, looks like they're used interchangeably out of PHX on long and short routes alike. I see ORD, DFW, DEN, PDX, SNA, DCA, LAX all operated by NEOs and regular CEOs flying some of those routes as well.

Depends on the route. I flew DCA-LAX twice in April and they were NEOs.

So the JFK-LAX/SFO flights are then all CEOs? As you said above, the low-density ones are CEO, this is what I conclude, is that right?

Yes, the low-registered, low-density A321ceo are internally identified as A321T. N101NN-N117NN (some with odd suffixes in there) are configured F10C20Y72. N118NN onward in that batch of legacy AA ordered-A321s are C16Y165. The legacy US Airways airframes start at N150UW (and there are some legacy AA ordered planes in that same N150xx onwards registration sequence, with non-UW suffixes) are configured a little differently. There there are the N5nnxx A321ceos, as well as the N9nnxx registered A321ceos in there mixed among the N9nnxx 737-800s.

Correct. There are no A321NEOS in premium transcontinental configuration and.
