American Airlines Europe 2022 Routes

Probably starting this thread a little too early, but typically in August is when AA comes out with new/resumed Europe service for the following year. With COVID, I would expect not many new routes, but the resumption of routes that did not fly this year. I don't have a list of routes that were "paused" this year, but wanted to see which routes we expect AA to resume next summer and which ones will permanently be on the chopping block. I'm really hoping they resume PHL-VCE. Delta and United already have VCE loaded in their schedules for May 2022.

I think DBV and KEF will come back in S22. As for new routes AA could start DFW-ATH, CLT-KEF, or if they want to boost their AUS focus city, AUS-LHR.

PHL-VCE set to resume May 7, 2022 per FlightView. Should be going on sale in the next few days.

DFW/CLT-DUB were suspended this year. Expecting those two to return with Ireland relaxing restrictions and the new Aer Lingus JV.

If new routes are announced, I'm hoping for DFW-BCN. And LAX-ATH :spin:

The only rumor I’ve heard is DFW-ATH

Other than that, just waiting for Boeing to get the 787s delivered so AA can announce routes

Sadly no routes to CPH, it's a black hole in their network. None of the US3 are set to serve CPH which leaves SK to have a monopoly on routes to the US. CPH-JFK is unserved as SK uses EWR instead. A missed opportunity for them.
