Just for fun, for flight loggers: What is your longest string of different airlines flown (only one flight allowed per airline) on in a row without a break? If you flew on a military or general aviation in between any airline flights, that breaks the sequence. Allowed is a flight with an enroute stop: for example JFK-FRA-SIN on SQ. However, no more than one flight per airline...that's the kicker.

Mine is eight, from June 1980 through April 1981. The flights are, and to drive the rule home, the only flights I took between these two dates. The fact the airports all logically coincide is irrelevant. If one flight was from JFK-CDG and your next flight is from Orly (or a completely different city) on a different airline, that is fine.

The only one flight per airline rule is the real kicker, since like 99% of my flights involved round trips or connections on the same airline. But in 2016 I took a trip to East Africa that involved a bunch of legs on different airlines. There was one charter flight in the middle as part of the tour; I don't know if the OP would consider that a violation of the "no GA flights" rule. While not a scheduled flight it would legally be considered a commercial flight, and we were issued boarding passes and everything, so I am going to count it.

That would make for a string of 5 airlines:

Well I'm not the OP, but I don't see why a train ride in between couldn't count. Living several hundred miles from a major airport (LHR) means many in my list had train rides inbetween.

But more importantly, I'd love to know what types you flew in your list back then in 2000?
