Where to find a 737-600
Trying to tick off the 737-600 (the only 737 variant I'm missing other than the more elusive 737-100) and was disheartened to find WestJet quietly retired their fleet due to COVID. I also know SAS retired theirs a while back, and was wondering if there were currently any other operators of the type, aside from JANET which is obviously out of the question.

That's going to be a tough mission. Besides Air Algerie and Tunisair, that's more or less it. Not sure where you are based and about the current restrictions but, the Tunisair ones come to France, Germany... a the moment. I was lucky to catch a SAS 766 in July 2019 between ARN and CDG

The Westjet frames are not even 20 years old, so there has got to be plenty of life in them. I assume maybe some operator who wants cheaper planes with low hours could maybe buy the ex Westjet frames and even the SAS frames are not old old, though I do not know their hours/cycles. The 736s in the desert have some life left in them and some operator could pick them up, so you may not be out of hope yet.
As for current operators, Air Algerie and Tunisair are the only ones.

Highly, highly doubt they ever fly again. Worth much more in parts. There are -700s and -800s that are half as old that are turning into parts bins.

I had a quick look and I couldn't see anywhere saying WestJet retired their 737-600s. They definitely stored them, and I think they removed them from the schedules, but I don't think they've actually said "we won't fly these planes again".
The -600 can fly further, land shorter, and seat fewer people than any other aircraft in the WestJet mainline fleet, which makes them perfect for smaller Canadian routes that the -700/-800 can't break even on.

There is a remote possibility (that if the price is right) Bahamasair might try to pick up 2 or 3 recently-retired B736's to replace their trio of aged B735's. As I recall, UP had to struggle to get just one of their B735's ADS-B compliant. They currently have one (C6-BFD) back into service and are also using 2 B73G's they picked up in 2019 & 2020. But if service demand starts to pick up they will need more lift soon.

they are not that old, but why get a -600 when there are a lot of -700 or -800 around
