Shanghai Pudong's Airport PVG is currently closed Sunday 25th July and Monday 26th July due to Typhoon In-Fa. The typhoon has already reportedly caused significant damage in the Pudong area of Shanghai and in Ningbo, however it is unknown if there has been damage at the airport. The Ningbo Airport (NBG) is also closed, and the Hangzhou Airport (HGH) is also affected expected to close later on Monday. Hundreds of flights have been disrupted and cancelled.

Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA) was also closed all day on the 25th, but has reopened as of 26th morning. Zhoushan Airport (HSN) was in the direct path of the storm, so will be interesting to see what damage occurred. It was announced that international flights to PVG would not be allowed on 26th, though UA857 still appears slated to depart ICN to PVG this afternoon.
