Any chance of VS launching MEX, CUN, or GRU?
I find it interesting VS now fly to the largest markets in Africa (LOS, JNB, CPT) and Asia (PVG, HKG, DEL, BOM) but not Latin America. The TLV route survives on US connections. Is there any chance of VS launching MEX, CUN or GRU? There is limited competition to Latin America from the UK with no ME3.

Besides possible CANCUN for the coming winter vacation traffic, I don't see MEX or GRU happening. MEX is a think market that in normal times can be covered with one stop US transit. GRU is difficult to maintain profitability with the competition from BA, IB, AF and KL. Plus now with DL + LATAM, DL may voice concern if VS is to join the competition (I am not saying DL will object but certainly DL management would try to maintain a position to make sure VS and LATAM do not compete unnecessarily to cause harm to both). Of course if the market is recovered enough to have both airlines, I see no problems. It is just in the near term, GRU is somewhat less of a priority for VS.

VS planned to fly to GRU in 2020 but cancelled it because of COVID, since then they seem to have scrapped the plan.

IIRC was GIG and not GRU
