Did LAX completely get rid of the long-term economy parking lot E? The lot had been closed since the start of the pandemic in March 2020 and the LAX website used to show that as one of the parking options.
Just took a look at the redesigned LAX website and it does not list the Lot E anymore on the website. The website only shows the CTA as a parking option and lists the private off-site parking (not owned by LAX) as additional options.

Lot E was just built and opened in 2019, so why would LAX get rid of the only economy parking lot? The CTA at $40/day is just insane. The economy lot E at $12/day was a blessing since one could be confident of getting a parking spot even driving up last minute without advance reservation.
The private off-site parking lots have dynamic pricing, so they could turn out to be very cheap if booked in advance or can go north of $40/day if booked last minute.
