Question About Delta's A330-300 SLC-HNL Flight in First

Sat Oct 02, 2021 12:26 am

Has anyone taken Delta's A330-300 from SLC to HNL in the first class cabin lately? I'm booked in December and I'm curious about the experience. I'm not really a fan of their cramped angled "F" seats but it is what it is. I'm curious about the rest of the experience. How is the food and beverage service? Do they provide headsets or just those cheap ear buds? If anyone can share their experiences (pics would be a plus) it would be greatly appreciated.

I flew the route today. The Delta One experience was bad. Those pods are horrible and uncomfortable to recline or lay flat in if you are tall. The food service was a disgrace. A crappy boxed lunch. I don't want to hear their lame Covid excuses. Not sure how much lower they can set the bar

How can first class seats be cramped?
Shouldn't those be large by definition?

I am flying HNL-SLC in February. I'm 6'4". How cramped would that be?

I hear you. I have status with Delta and am looking to jump ship.

About those box lunches…I was recently on a Delta flight in FC where, after a somewhat lengthy delay, the very grumpy male FA…who up to that point had barely grunted at us…dropped the box on my tray table. As I opened it, I remarked jokingly to my seat neighbor, “This is the least Delta could do.”

The male FA was in earshot and replied sarcastically, “Yes it is.”

I had to laugh.

If I hear once more about Delta’s award-winning service, I’m gonna need an airsickness bag.

I am getting ready to board my return flight in about 30 minutes. I wonder what they try and pass off as dinner. Might be time to try AA. DL clearly doesn't give a rat's backside

The cramp comes when you recline or try and lay flat. There is just no proper room for your feet. It is a really bad design. To me the seats were also a bit hard and uncomfortable. These pods need to be scrapped. They really are rubbish. Does anyone know if DL uses these pods across the board or are there better versions?

I’ve given up on food on airliners—just find the best in the terminal or a good restaurant before entering the terminal. I don’t expect restaurants to get me to the destination, so I don’t expect airlines to feed me. Even EK and SQ business class wasn’t worth it, but certainly better than US domestic service.

On a short flight, I get that, but for a 14-16 hour flight?
