Four flights, three airframes: HB-IHK of Balair, two flights on S2-ACR of Biman Bangladesh and an unknown Swissair frame. Sadly I only remember the Biman flights (guess which they were...), for the other ones I was too young :hissyfit:

Earliest flights I can remember the type was 1992, but since I lived in Hawaii at the time, I think I most likely flew on an American Airlines DC-10 at some point in my life since I do remember flying AA prior to then.

So few unfortunately:

AA: several times in the 80s
UA: mid/late 90s SFO-DEN, SFO-KOA, SFO-OGG, SFO-HNL
JL: -40 from HND to OKA in 2004

My dad used an AA DC-10-30 SJC-NRT in the SJC hub days when one of the early MD-11 deliveries went tech.

Best was LH, BOS-FRA. Started take off roll, stopped after a few yards. Taxied off to a corner of the runway and ran up engines repeatedly. Captain explained they had a engine not making full power or maybe a gauge not reading right. Flight engineer swapped gauges one engine to another and they ran up the engines again. Now the other engine read wrong so faulty gauge. Taxied back out and flew to FRA. No substitute for German engineers. You can't make this stuff up.

I flew first time on United DC-10-30 ORD-DTW It freaked me out where AA 191 took off same runway some 20 ish years later.

United DC-10-30 ORD-CLE
United DC-10-30 ORD-SFO swapped from 777 canceled.
United DC-10-30 IAD-ORD swapped from 747-400 canceled.

United DC-10-30 DEN-ORD same flight number 232 a 3 months later it crashed in Iowa. Sad!!

April 11, 1986 a/c reg: OO-SLD. I was seating at 49A. Now, you could ask me, what do you remember from that flight SN845? First, that the flight must have been continuing to Africa and was to pick passengers from Athens. Second that the meal was tender meat and third, that around mid-flight say, over Italy, I decided -of all places- that I needed a shave. After a while, there was a knock on the toilet door and I had to open it to show to the air hostess what I was up to. It was a smooth flight and a nice crew. And yes, I should like to thank the photographer for this historic photo!

I only had the opportunity to fly AA's DC-10s (DFW-HNL; HNL-OGG (an amazingly short hop); HNL-SFO) in January 1991. That was back when AA had a dedicated, decorated gate for HNL flights.
