How often does moderate to severe turbulence happen?

The turbulence on those video fragments isn't actually that bad from what I could see, only it seems worse because they're shaking the camera. That way you get an optical illusion of bad turbulence.

Sure there is a bit of turbulence and it does occasionally happen, but it's nothing to worry about. Like I said, it's by far not as bad as it looks on video.

I agree with what PatrickZ80 has posted. I don't know how true it is but I have heard it said that nobody has ever encountered really extreme turbulence and survived to tell about it.
