Ahah. That was the first plane type I ever flew.
It was Aerolitoral's (now Aeromexico Connect) Saab 340b SAT-MTY.
I admit a little disappointed (and anxious) it wasn't something bigger like the Southwest 737s I had been used to seeing so often throughout my childhood. Next leg was a 757 of course...

Only the one flight on a SAAB 2000 with Eastern Airlines between NCL and SOU.

SF340: Hazelton (NSW, Australia). My second RPT flight (SYD-GFF-NRA-SYD). Hazelton was taken over by Ansett, and REX rose from the ashes with the SF340. It's the largest SF340 operator in the world.

SAAB 340: Rex 3 flights ADL-KGC KGC-ADL, BHQ-ADL on VH-KDQ, VH-ZLR, VH-ZLV
When I flew from Frankfurt to Vilnius, we were taken to a remote stand by bus. I presume FlyLAL and Lufthansa were doing some codesharing at that time (my own ticket was EZE-GRU-FRA on LH and then FRA-VNO on FlyLAL). At that time, LH was always sending a 735 to Vilnius.
On the bus, there was a couple of elderly Germans (maybe in early 70s). When they got out of the bus and saw the tiny Saab in front of them, they went numb, like 'dafu* what's that?? Are we going to fly across half Europe inside this mosquito?????'
No actor could repeat their astonishment...

I was a pilot for PenAir on them. One of my favorite aircraft I've flown.
Reliability was an issue, especially with the anti-ice equipment. Had to do several air and gate returns due to malfunctioning deice boots and engine deice equipment, and even had an engine inlet catch fire and burn a whole through the lip of the engine!

Flew a few American Eagle SF3s in the mid-90s.

I used to fly AA Eagle's SF3's between BUR-SJC on a regular basis back in the early 1990's. Decent ride for a turboprop. I was quite fond of flying on them.

S340 - Aer Lingus back in the early 90's, LBA-DUB and back.
