Northwest service to Australia in 1992

When did NW service Australia? How long was the service and from which ports of call?

NWA served Australia from New York via Osaka, Honolulu (briefly) and Los Angeles.

On a sad note a NWA flight attendant was killed in a pedestrian/auto accident. He came to the road, look left and stepped into the road and was killed by the vehicle coming from the right.

From memory, and from the below old topic from 2005, the only flew into SYD. Sydney's population was at least 1 million more than Melbourne's back in the early 90's, only in the last few years both cities have had roughly the same population.

I don't believe NW ever contemplated MEL, especially as all their local management was ex CO. It was comical- the staff literally moved from one office tower to the other in the same complex.
