The funny thing is, I remembered I was a kid arrived only once landed at Newark (KEWR) on Allegheny Bac 1-11 from DAY-PIT-EWR. One diverts due to fog for AVL diverted to Tri-Cities (KTRI). on Piedmont 737-200 once landed. I have never been to take off both airports EWR and TRI. Have you anyone who has been at once time airport landed or take-off?

What do you think EWR is? How big a city is it? New York area has 3 serve major airports are LGA, JFK and EWR. My dad picked me up EWR a week later I flew out of LGA but I have been before in and out of LGA a few times.

Piedmont paid for the bus to pick up some passengers to AVL due to fog the airport is closed. Can't land there. I took a bus to AVL airport from TRI 3 and half hours waving the Smokey mountains.
I have been there a few times in and out of AVL.

For Example:
if a person had a round trip ticket SJC-LAX. If SJC is closed due to fog. The plane had to force to land at Stockton and took a bus to SJC. A person who never been back to Stockton for take-off at that airport. The same idea my question once a land or once take off never come back again.

I've done this several times, usually because I flew into one airport, traveled somewhere else via ground transportation, and then flew home from a different airport.

I have landed at, but never taken off from: HAM, PDX, OSL, EBB, and ATH.

I have taken off from, but never landed at: OAK, AVL, TLL, ARK, and JTR.

And if GA only airports count, I've only taken off from CKU (Cordova, Alaska) and only landed at L93 (Robe Lake Seaplane Base, Valdez, Alaska).

I've taken off only from Macon, Georgia, St Petersburg, Florida, Amsterdam, and Barcelona.

For years - Newark was the one airport I had always taken off from, but never flew in to - this lasted for a stretch of about 9 years until I finally landed there - the last Southwest flight IND to EWR.

For the hell of it, I've been ticketed three times to fly out of and once into Bloomington/Normal, but have never taken off or landed there as three times the flight was cancelled due to weather - and once mechanical.

One time I took a trip GRQ - GDN - STN - LIS - AMS. Both GRQ and AMS are well within driving distance from my home, however while I've departed from and arrived at AMS quite a number of times I only once departed from GRQ and never landed there. This wasn't a diversion by the way, it was planned that way.

Another time I went to Thailand and took a domestic flight there, DMK - CNX. For my flight to Bangkok I flew AMS - ARN - BKK, after arriving at BKK I took the shuttle bus to catch that domestic flight. I never flew back from CNX, took the train back to Bangkok instead (passing DMK on the way). And a few days later I flew BKK - OSL - AMS home. So that makes I only departed from DMK but never arrived there, and I only arrived at CNX but never departed from there.

Back in 2005, we landed at LAS and departed out of LAX. I have not flown in and out of either airport since then, although I have done some plane spotting in 2017 by the In N Out Burger and drove around LAX in July. Then in 2006, we landed at KIX and went on a week long bus tour that eventually ended at NRT, which I had already been to several times via connecting flights. In 2007, we flew out of SEA, which was the only time I had been there. For the longest time, I had only ever flown out of MCO, but never in. Back in 1996, we were returning home from a trip to Disney, but we had arrived there via another airport. Then in 2015, my parents were moving stuff from their old house to their new house, which resulted in me driving the rental truck down, then me flying back home. In 2017, they were moving more stuff down, which resulted in me flying up, then driving down with a trailer. This streak was finally broken in 2019 when my friend and I flew out to a convention in San Diego before flying back home. Incidentally, prior to 2019, not only did I only fly out of MCO, but never into MCO, all the flights I flew out of MCO were all headed to EWR.

My return to London LGW from ATH in October 1986 on a Britannia 737 was diverted to East Midlands (EMA) due to fog at LGW. We were on final in the soup when suddenly power was applied and we climbed. Thankfully we were stationed at RAF Alconbury at the time so it was a pretty straightforward train trip to get back to Huntingdon. Took a while but we made it. Sad part is I lost my key ring in the first cab (which was later returned!) and was temporarily locked out of my dorm room until my roomie arrived home. Never flew out of EMA.
