It seems when DAB's $2.3M in incentives provided to B6 ran out, they moved on after 3 years. They were actually reporting average load factors at 77% in 2016 and 82% in 2017 & 2018, but the fares were discounted by the incentives, which artificially stimulated demand. Those load factors seemed good, but came up short when compared to the industry average load factor in 2018 of 86%.

The revenue guarantees were only good for 1 year if I recall correctly. The second year they were on their own. They announced the station closure in the fall of 2018 so they managed on their own for a while too.
Either way, a smaller aircraft or or more cost efficient aircraft would work for NYC-DAB. A220 is a good plane and I wouldn't be surprised to see them try again in a few years.
