Off topic here, I guess, but my first sight of Sydney was by sea, manning the rail on the deck of the battleship USS Missouri entering Sydney Harbour in September 1986 for the fleet review honoring the 75th anniversary of the Royal Australian Navy. Unforgettable.

I think everyone in NSW, whether direct or on TV, remembers Might Mo entering the harbour in 1986!
As for my description as meh, I was being totally sarcastic. There are pleasant approaches to some other major cities, but a sunny 16R approach looking east is the perfect intro to Sydney.
